The Golf shop attendant would be responsible for the daily operations involved at Ruth Park Golf Course, which includes registration of all players and management of starting time reservations, maintaining the golf shops appearance and providing additional professional services to ensure all guests receive an exceptional golf experience.

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The following duties are normal for this classification. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.

  • Provide excellent customer service, professional advice and assistance to all patrons.
  • Ensure guest check-in and fee collection.
  • Be informed on, and promote all club activities and services.
  • Ensure that all customers are greeted and welcomed by staff in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Answer questions and provide assistance and information to all customers.
  • Assist in maintaining proper pace of day.
  • Enforce all golf course directives, rules and regulations.
  • Some light snack bar duties will be required.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas.
  • Informs supervisor of all positive and negative information regarding the facility, programs, or general public.

Desirable Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Some knowledge of the game of golf required.
  • Working knowledge of computers and POS software.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Ability to perform cashier duties accurately.
  • Skill in performing varied manual tasks.
  • Ability to show up to work on time daily.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently without constant supervision.
  • Ability to have a quick response in emergency situations and handle stressful situations.
  • Ability to communicate in oral and written form.
  • Ability to work a combination of days, sometimes evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with superiors and fellow workers.

Equipment Used To Perform Job.

  • Telephone, PA system, computer, copy machine, TV, alarm system.

Physical/Visual Activities and Demands

  • Sitting, talking, hearing, walking, reaching, stooping, bending, pushing.
  • Concentrated mental and visual attention with normal hand-eye coordination.
  • Clarity of vision at 20 inches-corrected or uncorrected.

Minimum Training and Experience Required to Perform Essential Job Functions

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Availability is for various shifts such as days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Basic cash handling, computer experience and customer service related work.
